High School Musical Anastasia

The most frequent question I receive in September is, “When will you update this guide for the new school year?” I usually start researching in October after schools announce their productions. I have a friend who also helps track down this information, so between his research and mine, we pull together a list for you in time to enjoy them all! If you know which musical and play your high school will perform this school year, please let me know in the comments below!

People often ask if I get free access to the places I visit. The answer is no—unless I’m invited to a special preview or offered behind-the-scenes access through my media role. Most of the time, I don’t even mention Day Trips Around Rochester, New York when I visit a place. I want to have the same experience you would.

I create and share this content because it brings me joy—and I hope it adds value to your adventures, too.

27 thoughts on “High School Musicals and Dramas in Monroe County for the 2025-26 School Year”

  1. Irondequoit High School’s musical is The Hello Girls, performing March 19-22, 2026 – a beautiful but lesser known show based on a true story of the female switchboard operators during WW1.

  2. I just found out yesterday that Greece Athena will be doing Sound of Music on January 30 to February 1 and from February 6 to 8. It’ll be 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 2pm on Sundays.

  3. Whoops! I forgot something. Webster Thomas is doing Much Ado About Nothing from November 20 to 22. And I just found out Penfield is doing “A New Style of Murder” these same days. And Webster Schroeder is likely doing their spring drama from April 30 to May 2.

  4. I’d double check on this info but here’s what I got
    Fairport fall drama-Charlotte’s Web-11/13 to 15
    Hilton fall drama-Cinderella: A Dream Come True-11/21 to 23
    East Rochester musical-1/16 to 17
    Fairport musical-3/5 to 7
    Penfield musical-3/12 to 14
    Eastridge musical-3/19 to 21
    Hilton musical-3/20 to 22

  5. WIll you be doing a similar post for the 2025-26 school year? I found this really helpful last year! My homeschooling daughter and I love going to everyone’s shows 🙂

    1. I’d like to! Since the school year just started, many schools have not yet announced what the plays/musicals will be. Most hold the dates on their calendar, though, so I’ll start there and fill in the gaps as known. I’m happy you find this helpful!

  6. Greece Central School District has their plays posted for 24-25 on their website already.

Monster Songs, Arcadia High School, November 1 & 2 – 7:00 PM, November 2 – 2:00 PM, Greece Arcadia Auditorium

    Elf, Athena Middle School, November 22, 23, 29 & 30 – 7:00 PM, November 23 & 30 – 1:00 PM, Greece Performing Arts Center

    Footloose, Athena High School, January 31, February 1, 7 & 8 – 7:00 PM,
    February 2 & 9 – 2:00 PM, Greece Performing Arts Center

    The Little Mermaid, Odyssey, February 21 & 22 – 7:00 PM, February 23 – 2:00 PM,
    Greece Odyssey Auditorium

    Into the Woods, Arcadia High School, March 7, 8, 14, 15 – 7:00 PM, March 9 & 16 – 2:00 PM, Greece Arcadia Auditorium

    Matilda, Olympia, March 21, 22, 28 & 29 – 7:00 PM, March 22 & 29 – 2:00 PM, Greece Olympia Auditorium

Alice in Wonderland, Arcadia Middle School, April 4 & 5 – 7:00 PM, April 5 – 2:00 PM, Greece Arcadia Auditorium

    Forever Plaid, Athena High School, April 25 & 26, May 2 & 3 – 7:00 PM, April 27, May 4 – 2:00 PM, Greece Athena Forum Room

    1. Yes. I’ll probably start researching it in late October since most schools will have announced their fall plays and spring musicals by then. If you know of any, please leave a comment!

  7. Hello – Would you please add the non-profit youth theater A Magical Journey Thru Stages to your listing? Our website is http://www.mjtstages.org We have three shows coming up for the rest of this season. A Play “Rehearsal For Murder”, and Musicals “The Little Mermaid JR.” and “Anastasia The Musical”. Then we have summer camp shows too. Thank you! Sherry Vile

  8. in addition to the beautiful telling of Anastasia, don’t miss the next group of talent from Greece Athena Middle School doing The SpongeBob Musical April 21 and April 28 at 7 pm, and Saturdays April 22 and 29 at 1pm and 7pm
