Support Rochester-area student performers by attending a musical or play featuring high-school-aged talent. This guide includes productions from local schools, homeschool programs, and community theater organizations created for performers in grades 9–12 or approximately ages 14–18.
These productions bring students together on stage, in the orchestra, and behind the scenes. For audiences, they offer an affordable way to enjoy live theater while supporting seasoned young performers as they develop advanced skills and prepare for college programs, professional opportunities, and whatever stage comes next.
This list is being updated for the 2026–27 school year. Some schools reserve performance dates before announcing their productions, so you’ll find both confirmed titles and dates with productions still to be announced. Details may change; check with the school before attending.

Irondequoit High School’s musical is The Hello Girls, performing March 19-22, 2026 – a beautiful but lesser known show based on a true story of the female switchboard operators during WW1.
I just found out yesterday that Greece Athena will be doing Sound of Music on January 30 to February 1 and from February 6 to 8. It’ll be 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 2pm on Sundays.
