Tinker Nature Park comprises 68-acres along the Pittsford/Henrietta Town border. On the park grounds you will find two buildings; the Hansen Nature Center (open Tues.— Sat. 9:00AM to 4:00PM) and the Tinker Homestead & Farm Museum (tours by appointment and during special events). Throughout the year the park hosts several events, including Civil War Days, Honey Harvest Festival and Halloween Woodland Wander.
Tinker Nature Park has a series of trails and boardwalks that are great for folks of all abilities.
Tinker Nature Park offers a 1.2 mile flat perimeter trail for jogging, biking, skiing, snowshoeing or walking. I recommend doubling up on the mileage by taking the perimeter trail clockwise, and back counterclockwise. You’ll see something new each way, especially near the Fairy Houses. There are a few paths that lead off of the perimeter trail; feel free to wander down them, though they lead off of the park to the surrounding neighborhoods.
You’ll find beautiful spots to relax and observe nature, or read a good book.
Tinker’s Fairy Trail is a favorite for families with little ones.
Maybe you’ll find Tinker Bell here in one of the 20+ fairy homes!
Tinker Nature Park is perfect for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing!
